Childcare Offer
All families may be eligible for funded childcare, this includes working families from April 2024. Please click here to find out what is available to you with regards to the significant changes to 15 and 30 hours childcare support in England.
0-2 years old
Barnwell Daycare is registered to care for babies up until they are 2 years old. Our staff to child ratio is one staff member to three children. We offer funded childcare up to 30 hours for eligible working parents. Our baby room is calm, warm and stimulating, filled with a wide variety of exciting activities to keep babies involved in their learning and early experiences.
2-3 years old
We offer fee paying places alongside eligible, funded two year old places.
Children from two to three access a stimulating learning environment learning which is implemented to ensure each child can learn and develop from their own starting point.
There are three intakes of children per school year; September, January and April.
3-5 years old
We offer fee paying places alongside eligible, funded three year old places.
Children from three to five access the same learning environment; however learning is differentiated for all individual children, is progressive and nurtures children's interests.
There are three intakes of children per school year; September, January and April.
Wrap Around Care
Children accessing their education at Barnwell Academy may also access fee paying wrap around childcare facilities up until the age of five. We accept tax free childcare vouchers.
The wrap around service provides care before and after their school day. These may vary depending on your child’s school times.

Breakfast Club and Out of School Club facilities are also available within Barnwell Academy. Please contact the school office for more information.
School Holiday Information
Families may access fee paying childcare facilities here at Barnwell Daycare throughout the school holidays. We accept tax free childcare vouchers. Daycare is registered to provide childcare for children up until the term after their 5th birthday.
Extra payments
Please note, from 1st September 2025, our extra payments for funded hours are:
Lunch menu: £2.70
Tea menu: £2.10
Full Day meal menu: £4:25
Breakfast/mid session snack and milk: free
